Taken on a grey day in November 2006 a little way up Ben Lomond behind Rowardennan Lodge, this is a view across the bracken to the mountains on the west side of Loch Lomond. What I loved about this view was the muted earthy colours against soft grey clouds and the prospect of a wealth of possibilities if you climbed the hill and looked into the distance.

I moved to Scotland the following spring, and fell in love with the area all over again.
